Ofsted Subject Inspection Guidance for Inspectors: English as an Additional LanguageNew subject inspection guidance was not written to go alongside the new Framework for Inspection and the existing subject inspection guidance is still in place. EAL is included in the subject inspection guidance. In general the guidance in the two documents is very similar. This summary draws on both the primary and secondary documents. For the purposes of this summary, headings have been used as a guide to the content of the selection of advice to inspectors from the EAL document.
