Vision and Values

The Traveller Education Service is organised within the Minority Ethnic Curriculum Support Service, as part of the Standards and School Effectiveness Division. In common with colleagues within the service, we are a peripatetic team of Support Teachers, Learning Support Assistants and Traveller Education Welfare Officers, who provide support to schools and pre school settings, across the county to help meet the needs of Traveller pupils.

A new resource pack was issued to schools to give a greater insight into the life of Traveller children and their families. Vision and Values has been drawn up by the Hertfordshire Traveller Education Service to give more information about the oldest ethnic minority group in the country.
