Training & CPD
The Standards & School Effectiveness Division provides a wide
variety of support to schools. This can be in the form of consultancy,
CPD courses or other forms of training. This page outlines some of the
ways in which support can be provided within the subject of Mathematics
at each of the different key stages. Advisers and consultants are always
developing new courses and additional forms of support, so please feel
free to make contact to
discuss any precise training or CPD requirements that you have.

Foundation
Potential support includes:
- Training to raise standards of achievement with all pupils including SEN,
Gifted and Talented, boys and Minority
Ethnic pupils
- Conferences are run regularly throughout the year
covering various Teaching and Learning subjects. Take a look at the conferences running

Key Stage 1 & 2
Potential support includes
- Training for NQTs, Teaching
Assistants and other adult helpers
- Training to raise standards of achievement with all pupils including SEN,
Gifted and Talented, boys and Minority
Ethnic pupils
- Training with planning and delivering the Key Stage 1 and 2 curriculum
- Training in the use of Assessment
- Conferences are run regularly throughout the year covering various Teaching

Key Stage 3 & 4
Hertfordshire supports the KS3 National Numeracy Strategy: Mathematics strand.
We are offering a range of training for ALL schools and for those who are
receiving Additional Support this year.
Also, the Mathematics team is pleased to offer a range of CPD
courses.
