Assessment
Never before have schools had so much information and data based upon
their pupils. This information comes in various forms, PANDA, Value added,
National and Optional Tests. The efficient use of this assessment information
can be a powerful tool in raising pupil achievement within schools. It
can either be based upon Assessment of Learning or Assessment for Learning.
The question one should always ask is, “ How will this information
impact upon the pupils within our school?”
Assessment is also an integral part of the Foundation Stage and the following
documentation demonstrates ways in which assessment can be effective
in the Early Years.
