Using iPads in the Curriculum

Are you thinking about purchasing iPads at your school? There are a lot of things to take into consideration before making this significant investment, and the Hertfordshire ICT Team has a huge amount of experience in implementing this technology in education settings. We can offer you advice and guidance in order to help you make the right decisions.

If your school has already purchased iPads and you are not sure how to get the best from them across the curriculum. The Hertfordshire ICT Advisers can offer:

  • Advice and support to get you started, with demonstrations of different activities and apps, and how they can be used to support teaching and learning.
  • Run themed sessions with your pupils/students. These sessions are a great way of learning for both the children, and also their teachers and support staff who can take part in the day, learning as they go along.
  • Run movie trailer making days, using the iPads for both filming and editing the movies.
  • Work with children to create digital multimedia stories, inspired by iPad games.
  • Full iPad INSET service, tailored to your specific needs. Sessions can be from an hour to a full day.

And don’t forget that Schools IT Systems Support (SITSS) also offer a full iPad/iPod Touch technical set-up service to get your devices all ready for the classroom.
