What are the Insurance Implications? The majority of Hertfordshire’s schools are covered by the county’s balance of risks insurance. (All Voluntary Aided schools are not covered by this policy as are the few who have individually chosen to opt out.) Under this balance of risks policy an Interactive Whiteboard is covered against fire and theft provided that reasonable precautions have been taken and that it is included in the schools inventory of equipment. For details of this and any other queries relating to the insurance of equipment in schools please contact the Corporate Accountancy Group on Tel: 01992 555583.
