2012 National ICT & Computing Festival ReviewThe 2012 National ICT and Computing Festival was held at Hertfordshire Development Centre on 22nd February. Hosted by the Hertfordshire Schools ICT Services team, the event focused on learning and teaching in the classroom and was attended by over 200 people. Exhibitors including Microsoft, RM Education, Lego Education, Hertfordshire University, Pora Ora and Sage@School showcased a range of software and peripheral devices for use within the curriculum. There were also a wide range of innovative and leading-edge resources available including ICT Litebite sessions, designed to update and provide CPD to delegates across a wide range of ICT topics. Children from Mandeville primary school were in attendance, performing a song they had written about being safe online, accompanied by two saxophonists. The pupils also attended an exclusive workshop hosted by Apple about the positive application of Apps on the i-Pod Touch, and were able to actively download and try these Apps with their teachers. Also in attendance were School Live Broadcasting who hosted a live radio show during the event.
