2010 eSafety Competition Winners

Safe in Cyberspace

The eSafety competition was a great success and the entries demonstrated how children and young people in Hertfordshire are promoting eSafety within their school.

The 'Stay Safe' rules came across clearly and we would like to thank all schools that took part in the competition.

eSafety - Learn how to be safe on the computer

Background & Judging Criteria

Schools chose a technology they thought most useful to deliver the message (Film, Podcast, Photo-story, Presentation, Website etc).

Entries had to supply copies of :

  • children’s planning/ storyboard
  • children’s reflection/evaluation of project
  • Pupil consent forms completed and signed (where children are on film or recorded etc)

Entries had to be:

  • suitable for family audience
  • Less than 2 minutes long (where relevant)
  • Copyright free soundtrack (where relevant)
Judging Criteria

Entries were judged primarily on how they engage the audience, the use of appropriate techniques and skills and the clarity of the message and/or story.
