How to get the Most from Your SMART Board" session, June 19th, Hertfordshire Development Centre

There will be a session led by trainers from SMART, run at Hertfordshire Development Centre, Wheathampstead, on Thursday 19th June. The session will run from 4pm until 5:30pm.

This twilight session is designed to help you and your staff get the most out of your Smartboard Interactive Whiteboard and will cover different aspects of Notebook software including;

SMART Tools
Advanced Layering Techniques
Dual Page display
Linking techniques
Lesson Activity Toolkit - The new interactive content for version 10
3rd party encoders for increasing mulitimedia compatibilityThe session will also introduce you to the SMART exchange, SMART's online community which offers you a wealth of resources and the opportunity to network with other teachers around the world. You will also be given hands on experience of Senteo - SMART's interactive response system and a preview of SMART Notebook version 10.

E2BN Conference - 24th & 25th June 2008

Challinging every child...E2BN (The East of England Regional Broadband Consortium) will be holding its 2008 Conference on 24th and 25th June, in Wyboston, Beds.  Our schools have been well represented at previous conferences with delegates reporting that their visit provided access to stimulating speakers and workshops together with a chance to meet a wide range of ICT suppliers. The conference is free to staff from Hertfordshire schools. 

This year's keynote speakers include Mick Waters from the QCA who will talk about his work to 'develop a modern, world-class curriculum that will inspire and challenge all learners and prepare them for the future'.   Russell Prue the well known ICT evangelist will also be presenting in is inimitable fashion.

ICT Subject Leaders Development Meeting

There will be a half day follow-up session to review progress with implementing with the new PoS and Framework.  The main focus will be sharing good practice from colleagues around the county, and exploring the use of web 2.0 technologies to encourage collaborative learning whilst keeping eSafety in mind.
