The Hertfordshire Primary ICT Scheme, version 2
The Hertfordshire primary ICT scheme (version 2) provides a creative approach to delivering the ICT curriculum. It supports the teaching and the development of ICT and builds computer science capability for current and future learning.
It is designed to evolve to embrace new technologies and practices and meet statutory changes to the national curriculum. To offer the greatest flexibility to schools whilst ensuring progression, the scheme is organised into four age phases; EYFS, Key Stage 1, Lower Key Stage 2 and Upper Key Stage 2, supporting mixed and single aged cohorts.
The content is broken down into five strands and further organised into learning themes. Any school in Hertfordshire or beyond can subscribe to the scheme, which has been designed to be introduced in schools through a guided session from one of our ICT curriculum advisers.
The scheme is regularly reviewed to make sure it is in line with government guidelines and the latest thinking. Updates and resources to the current version are sent electronically to subscribing schools.
To enquire about subscribing to the Hertfordshire ICT scheme for your school, or if you have version 1 and are interested in accessing version 2, please contact us by email or phone:
We would like to build up an ICT work portfolio for the new Hertfordshire ICT scheme. If you would like to share examples of the independent tasks that your pupils have undertaken please email the ICT curriculum team attaching the work and any useful documentation or notes.
