ICT in the Renewed Mathematics FrameworkThe ‘ICT Resources’ section supports the use of ICT in mathematics by teachers and children. The resources include Interactive Teaching Programmes, spreadsheet workbooks with accompanying guidance and links to further resources on the National Whiteboard Network website. The notes provide suggested learning objectives, starting ideas for activities and key questions to go with the ICT resources accessed via the 'Unit ICT resources' tab within each unit in the mathematics planning section. They should be used together with the guidance sheets available for many of the spreadsheet resources, and ITP guidance. Video tutorials to support the use of many of the ITPs can be found on the PNS publication 'Keys to learning in literacy and mathematics'. (DfES reference 00225-2006PCK-EN) ICT lesson notes are available to support Unit 3 for each Block. These notes will be added to over time. Interactive Teaching Programs (ITPs)These programs have been developed by the Primary National Strategy to provide simple ICT-based images to support modelling, demonstration and exploration of mathematics. SpreadsheetsThe spreadsheet workbooks provide flexible resources that can be used to teach new ideas and to provide opportunities for consolidation and application of knowledge, skills and understanding. Further workbooks can be found on the National Whiteboard Network website at:
