SEAL Project 2006-07Developing the teaching of the SEAL curriculum resource through use of ICT

The main aim of this project has been to develop Interactive whiteboard resources to enhance the SEAL whole-class teaching materials. Teachers in Hertfordshire are developing an awareness of these ‘home-grown’ resources and some have been inspired to go on to develop their own IWB additions.

Phase 3: 2008-09 new

During Phase 3 the following themed materials were developed:

Phase 2: 2007-08

Teachers developing resources at HDC for Phase 1 have reported many benefits to their own practice as well as reporting a perceived impact on pupils. More details can be found in the evaluation document below.

Keen to build on the successes of the 2006 SEAL Interactive whiteboard project several more teachers were recruited from the ICT summer term cluster meetings.  Phase 2 was designed to focus on ‘Going for goals!’ and ‘Good to be me’ themes.

Nine teachers joined the project, and spent three days at Wheathampstead creating their material, supported by Hannah East (SEAL Consultant) and Sue Pennington (Primary ICT Adviser).

Once again, we would like to thank all of the teachers and schools who contributed to the success of Phase 2 of this project:

    • De Havilland Primary School (581)
    • Hillmead Primary School (216)
    • Newberries Primary School (789)

We would like to thank all of the teachers and schools who contributed to the success of this project:

    • De Havilland Primary
    • Newberries Primary
