Cluster Groups Updated

ICT & Mathematics Cluster Group

This term,  our Primary ICT clusters will focus on ICT within the Mathematics Framework and will be presented in partnership with colleagues from the Primary National Strategy team. Specifically, the sessions will focus on some teacher-developed resources using ICT to support Using and Applying Mathematics.

Owing to space restrictions, we can only offer two places per school (for the ICT and Maths subject leaders).

So book a place now for both of you.

Dates for Autumn 2008 meetings are published below.

What will we do?

clustergroupsCluster meetings have a half-hour of content built around issues of current interest and topics chosen at the previous meeting.

This will be followed by a news update and a question and answer session during which attendees can raise and discuss concerns related to ICT in their schools.  This session is designed to develop networks between those interested in, or leading, ICT in the local area, helping them to share ideas, resources and sympathy!

What are They?

clustergroupsCluster meetings will help to:

  • inform teachers of new developments in Primary ICT
  • provide information on requested, topical issues in ICT
  • develop local support networks for ICT
  • provide opportunities for schools to share ‘Best Practice’
  • enable key staff to meet, question, and liaise with LA advisers on a regular, informal basis
When & where?

clustergroupsThere are cluster meetings held in each quadrant, which are hosted by different schools each term. In addition to this there are two cluster meetings held at the Hertfordshire Development Centre in Stevenage.

Cluster meetings and topics will be publicised on the Hertfordshire Grid for Learning,  through the Schools Bulletin and Primarybyte - the Herts Primary ICT email forum.
