Leading Mental Health in Hertfordshire Schools is a termly newsletter for nominated mental health leads in schools.  A school mental health lead enables a clear line of communication between schools and mental health services, commissioners and other professionals.  Without a nominated lead, communications might not reach the right person - the SENCo, Head, PSHE Co-ordinator, Deputy or Assistant Head, Pastoral Manager, Learning Mentor etc are all possible key staff.  Nominated leads play an important role in providing feedback on resources, services and needs.  They are also the first to hear about new guidance, events and training opportunities.

Over 300 Hertfordshire schools have a nominated mental health lead.  To add or update an existing lead for your school, please email: camhs.commissioning@hertfordshire.gov.uk
