Area Music Centres and Saturday Morning Music Schools
We have a network of music centres across the County that come alive with music making after school and at weekends. Individual and some shared and group tuition in all instruments and voice is available. Hertfordshire Music Service has 7 main music centres and 7 satellite centres all supported by the central offices at Hertfordshire Development Centre. The music centres offer group or individual lessons in all orchestral instruments, piano, voice, recorder and guitar. Lessons are also available at selected centres in harp, keyboard, mini bass, mini bassoon, Suzuki piano, violin & cello. We also offer group activities on selected days/times at the following satellite centres Baldock, Royston, Bishop’s Stortford, Puckeridge, Ware, Hertford, Tring, Rickmansworth, Potters Bar. Our strong belief is that every pupil should have ensemble experiences alongside their individual or small group lessons and our teachers encourage pupils to join an appropriate group. These range from musicianship classes for the under 5s to youth orchestras and choirs for the older, advanced pupils. Lessons
