Friends of Hertfordshire County Music  Groups

The Friends Association exists to support all of the County Youth Music Groups by way of substantial financial contributions towards the purchase of instruments, sponsorship of brochures, recordings, tours and support at concerts.
Anyone can become a member of the Friends for a small subscription. Indeed, we urge all parents to ensure that they join the Friends in order to support the young musicians who deserve the very best musical opportunities that we can provide.
Membership costs just £10 per year and you receive a £2 discount on the first 2 tickets purchased for every concert you attend – so it soon pays for itself. Other special discounts apply from time to time as well.

Friends of East Herts Orchestras
The Friends of Area Music Centres are the parents and supporters who
look after the front-of-house at our concerts, selling tickets, programmes,
tea and coffee, tickets for raffles, spot the dog, name the doll etc.
We set up the group in the early 1980s to help us raise money to finance
tours and courses, to build up a library of scores and parts and to
help with several of our more expensive instruments.
We are very grateful to the many parents who help us, those who come
on to the committee in a formal way and those who just turn up at an ‘event’ and
roll up the sleeves.
FEHO helps not
just with the tours and concerts but also supports the SMMS concerts, the annual
Music Festival, the weekend
residential courses at Audley End and the recordings we make. We are in the
process of building a website at
www.feho.org.uk.

Our Friends offer help and expertise. They assist at concerts and music
days and raise funds for the benefit of the
Centre.

Friends of North Herts Music School
The Friends help with fundraising, help at concerts: transport, refreshments,
setting up lighting, front of house, publicity. Organising the
annual Priory Picnic (outdoor concert and fireworks) event to accommodate
an
audience of up to 2000. Providing
refreshments for children at instrumental days.
