RM Living Library Subscription

The contract we have for RM Living Library comes to an end on 31 March 2009. Unfortunately we are unable to renew the contract centrally due to changes in funding mechanisms.

The good news is, that we have been able to secure a special price for Hertfordshire schools, to enable you to continue using this resource if you wish.  The price per school agreed is the same as the price paid under the central contract, available for a limited period only.  The offer expires on Friday 20 March 2009.

Information

RM Living Library Primary Home Page

Living Library is an excellent resource for all children to use. It brings together thousands of reference articles, pictures and multimedia clips from the UK's most respected publishers, all within a protected site. This means that you really can let children search for resources, and know that they will find ‘safe’, reliable information.

Furthermore, as the site is designed for children to use, all articles are written in appropriate language. This means children will be able to assimilate and sort knowledge, not merely regurgitate useless facts that they don’t understand!

Using Living Library

You can find information by using Search, Browse or Explore.

When you have got your results, you will also see a bar graph next to the title indicating the suitability rating of each article. This gives you an idea of the difficulty of the article, or the level of the subject matter.

RatingsThe more bars filled in, the harder the challenge!
