Modlangs
Information Modlangs is a really useful MFL package
made of two main products: Feline and Felinx!.
Both are graded from beginners to A level and is specifically tailored
to examination requirements : B for beginners, 1 for pre-GCSE material
, 2 for GCSE material and 3 for post GCSE work. Each home page is subdivided into a series of sections
- note that although the screen shots below are for the French area
of Modlangs, each section is also available for German and Spanish
as well.

Feline
Feline is probably the world's longest running
online service (since 1986) providing educational materials. Feline offers weekly news sheets with quotations from authentic
sources, on topics currently in the news, with appropriate exercises
and answers. There is a choice of items every week, graded for different
levels. As long as you have access to a single computer connected
to the Internet, and can use it once a week for a few minutes, you
can make full use of Feline. Display the items you want, print them
out, and make whatever copies you wish, for teaching purposes in
any classes being taught at your school. Felinx! Felinx! is a way of making direct use of the Web for language learning.
Several times each week, guidance and exploitation materials for
fresh selections of Web pages in the target language appear. All
material and exploitation is graded from 'beginners' upwards, and
some items are chosen with vocational courses in mind.
Felinx! is designed to be used for individual learning at the
computer, but could also be used in more traditional settings. Typically,
there are 12 new Felinx! items per week during term time. Purrfect Collections

AS / A level / Higher grade, and arrange them by topic. This
new service puts all the relevant materials for demanding
post-16 courses at your fingertips. |

Pointers These are site listing services which identify French, German,
and Spanish web sites with useful content. Pointers is a general
collection of reviewed and graded sites. The Calendar sections cover
festivals, holidays and celebrations in France, Germany and Spain,
providing background information and website links for further exploration.
