Case StudyBoys, Camera, Action! Schools: Camp Primary School, Queen's School, Simon Balle School, The Laurence Haines Primary School Promoting Boys Dance
Schools were invited to participate in a project funded through the Hertfordshire Arts Strategy with assistance from the County Dance Teachers Association. The project was aimed at promoting boys dance through the use of ICT and providing exemplar material for discussion countywide. "Shiftwork" delivered basic film and dance workshops working alongside pupils and staff. Pupils worked in crews of six, which rotated to give each participant a chance to work as director, camera operator, time counter and performer. Shiftwork edited the pupils work from each participating school and presented it in a finished video format. A short clip from the video is available below:
