Good Practice Case Study
School No: 47 Primary/Secondary Liaison
The school works very closely with Hitchin Girls’ School and over the last three years have undertaken collaborative projects in the area of physical education and dance. There has been strong evidence that these initiatives have had a significant impact on the students and staff in both schools.
Community Sports Leaders AwardPupils from Year 12 at Hitchin Girls’ School regularly use pupils from William Ransom as a base for their Community Sports Leaders Award. Year 6 pupils participated in the 2003 and 2005 Hertfordshire Schools’ County Dance Festival with students from Hitchin Girls School being fully responsible for the choreography of the dance. This very valuable experience is described in the word document link above.
