The Behaviour & Achievement Strategy 2003-08

The Hertfordshire Behaviour and Achievement Strategy come into effect in September 2003. The strategy

  • Supported the development of nurture groups to meet the needs of children who are vulnerable at the start of their school careers
  • Set up primary support bases attached to county schools to meet the needs of those children demonstrating the most challenging behaviour
  • Set up multi agency Behaviour Support Teams
  • Funded the development of Learning Support Units (LSUs) in 20 secondary schools

The work of the strategy has now been incorporated within the current Behaviour & Attendance strategy.

A small number of the web pages from the old strategy have been retained as it is possible that they are still of use to schools.

CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN WHEN USING THESE DOCUMENTS AS THEIR AGE MEANS THAT SOME INACCURACIES MAY EXIST.

ANY LEGISLATIVE REFERENCE IN PARTICULAR SHOULD BE CAREFULLY CROSS REFERENCED
