Physical InterventionHertfordshire's Policy on Physical Intervention in SchoolsHertfordshire recognises the need for staff working in schools to use Restrictive Physical Intervention (RPI) in certain circumstances in order to minimise risk. There is a legal right for school staff to use RPI. However, this right needs to be exercised within a framework of good practice and in accordance with specific legal requirements.
