Letter to Teachers
Once again we have organised Year 4/5 moderation cluster meetings to take place across the county.
This year we have chosen to focus on the assessment of writing, particularly cross- curricular writing, and on maths, particularly using and applying maths and data-handling.
Guidance for Teachers
We have produced some suggested tasks, explained below, for both writing and maths. The purpose of suggesting specific tasks is so that there will be a degree of commonality about the evidence that you discuss with colleagues and it can be interesting to compare different pupils’ approaches to similar tasks.
