Ofsted: Data Dashboard
|
Ofsted released the Data Dashboard in February 2013 with the aim that school governors and members of the public could easily investigate the results of any school.
There were some methodological problems with the early release of this tool, which have since been fixed. However there are still some interesting issues and limitations regarding the data shown in the dashboard. The purpose of the document is to explain these issues so that Headteachers and staff may have a better understanding of what the dashboard is saying and be able to explain it to governors. |
The dashboard can be found by going to http://dashboard.ofsted.gov.uk and typing the name of a school into the search box.

These 2 Excel files can be used to show pupils' progress across KS1 - one sheet is designed for you to write children's names/initials in, the other to collate the numbers of children at each level. (Percentages will be automatically calculated.)
Please also see the Word document, which gives guidance and explanations.
(NB if your school uses the HCC suite of Assessment reports in SIMS AM7, these reports can be run straight from SIMS).
