Leadership Conferences
A wide range of training, from Headteacher conferences to
occasional seminars on current leadership issues, exists to
support and develop leadership at all levels. The annual conferences for headteachers from all phases are
an important feature of Hertfordshire's support for school
leaders.
For both primary and secondary/special school colleagues, the
emphasis is on providing high quality content and speakers of
national significance,
in appropriate surroundings, so that heads can learn about, debate
and reflect upon important issues.
In order to ensure this quality, groups of heads and relevant advisers/officers
work together to plan content, format and speakers. The County presently
subsidises both major conferences, thereby providing highly cost-effective
events.
