Integrated Services for LearningBehaviour and Attendance Team

We provide support for children and young people with significant emotional and behavioural difficulties and also those having difficulty with school attendance.

  • We work directly with children, their families and schools to assess difficulties and help to develop interventions and strategies
  • Our team works at a casework level and we provide consultation to help schools and settings develop their processes and practices to improve behaviour, mental health, and well being and attendance.

Every school has a named Attendance Improvement Officer from the team, which also includes specialist educational psychologists, advisory teachers, primary mental health workers and pupil support workers.

Access to support and advice about individual children from any of our teams in ISL is through a service request form with the exception of requests for statutory assessments of SEN which should go through the established Hertfordshire processes.

The ISL teams will also attend Team Around The Family (TAFs) meetings when appropriate as part of the Common Assessment Framework and Early Support.
