Good to Outstanding
Over the past two years, significant improvements have been made to the performance of Children, Schools and Families (CSF) and Children’s Services, especially in safeguarding. However, we need to make further improvements and prepare for the new challenges that we face.
The responsibilities of CSF Board have therefore been modified and the work which sits under each portfolio has been reconfigured in order to accelerate progress.
A paper ‘From Good to Outstanding: Commissioning for an Excellent Children’s Service’ sets out the ambition for Children’s Services to be rated ‘outstanding’ by 2011.
