Hertfordshire Development Centre (HDC)
Hertfordshire Development Centre (HDC) at Robertson House provides first class
conference, training and meeting facilities for school staff and other customers.
Accommodating up to 800 delegates across the
training centre at anytime, all of the training rooms
are air conditioned, fitted with the latest audio visual
equipment, have flexible layouts and include:
 300 seat conference hall- 7 large training rooms
- 5 medium training rooms
- 3 state of the art ICT suites
- Spacious breakout areas for delegates
HDC offers a wide range of catering hospitality throughout the day with options to take your
refreshments in the training rooms, breakout areas, or the 350 seat staff restaurant.
Robertson House is easily accessible, located on Six Hill Way, just off Gunnels Wood Road,
Stevenage and is served by mainline train routes, an extensive bus service and off-road cycle
paths, as well as being adjacent to the A1M motorway. HDC has a dedicated free of charge
parking area for up to 335 vehicles just a short walk from the training centre.
Also located within the training centre is a Learning Resource Centre which provides
support materials for the professional development of all school staff, governors and
members of the children’s workforce, as well as a range of educational periodicals and
reference materials.
HDC is also available for hire to Hertfordshire schools for the hosting of their own events,
staff/student developments days, large meetings and conferences.
