Training for Network Managers

School network management is time-consuming and demanding. It needs to be carried out by staff with the expertise and hours to carry out regular maintenance tasks such as testing back-up routines, upgrading anti-virus protection as well as dealing with day-to-day queries from users.

Initial training is available from suppliers such as RM, and two to three days initially needs to be allocated for this.

SITSS runs a termly, afternoon seminar for all school network managers, to update on current issues, upgrades and common problems. Click Here for Details (There is a small charge for schools who do not have a SITSS network support contract) Notes from these sessions can be found in the following downloads.
