Managing your Network

Staff who run a school network system need to be fully conversant with the appropriate network management tools, and the operating system. In the case of client/server systems they should have attended the relevant training course(s) and must have knowledge of the education sector, and the schools management information software systems, as well as understanding software installation procedures. For schools who do not have staff with this specialist expertise, SITSS offer Managed or Enhanced network support contracts. Our networks staff are approved by RM to support Connect networks, and will visit schools on a regular basis, to maintain and upgrade their systems. Outside agencies providing support to school systems need to be aware of set-up procedures for education software such as TRACA, Dinner Money and Sims. End-user installation notes can be provided through the SITSS help-desk.
