When HCC personnel need to see what is on the screen of your computer as part of a support query, you will be asked to navigate to this page and double click on the Kite icon above.
The dialogue with your support person will run as follows:
- Navigate to the Grid homepage and in the search box enter NetOp On-Demand or go to the SITSS home page and follow the link to NetOp On-Demand.
- You will be asked to double click on the kite symbol to start the installation of the client application. Your workstation will ask one or two security questions, please accept these to continue. These questions are because you are installing software from a web location which may not be secure. This application is on TheGrid and should be trusted.
- The client will launch and looks like this:

You will be asked to click connect.
When you see the following dialogue:

Inform the support person and they will give you a unique code to type into the space provided. When you have entered this code, click OK.
- The connection will be established automatically and you will be asked to allow the support person to connect by clicking OK on the dialogue below.

You can see the name of the person and the computer they are using, if you are concerned you can ask them for confirmation before accepting.
- When you have accepted the connection the support person will be able to see your screen and control your keyboard and mouse. You will get another dialogue reminding you that the support person is connected.

The support person can move this if it is in the way but will not be able to close it. If at any time you wish to end the session then pressing the F11 button or clicking Disconnect will disconnect without confirmation.
- When the support person is finished with the remote control session either they will end the session or you will be asked to press either the F11 button or to click Disconnect.

Finally, click the red X in the corner of the NetOp onDemand window to exit the NetOp onDemand client. All files installed on the computer by the client application will now be removed. If another remote control session is required then this process will have to start from the beginning again.
