STAR 7 (Sims .net)

Star 7 is the core module within Sims .net including Student and Staff Details, CTFs, School Diary, Pastoral Structure, Pre-admissions etc.

On this page you will find information on using Star 7, plus information on changes in the software due to the most recent upgrade.

Hints and Tips

• Addresses in Sims .net are not currently validated – we are still waiting for this feature to be introduced.
• A teacher can now be attached to more than one Reg Group – so for example, a nursery teacher can teach both AM and PM classes. Also you can attach more than one teacher to one Reg Group e.g. for a job share, by adding the second as a main Supervisor.

To download a file, right click on it and choose Save Target As. The manuals are very large files and should only be downloaded if you have a broadband connection.

Data Collection Sheets

As you may be aware the DfES requires two new items for School Census January 2007. These are First Language and Mode of Travel To School and will need to be collected during the Autumn Term.
