Lesson Monitor
Many schools wish to record lesson attendance, in addition to statutory
session registration. Lesson Monitor draws upon student and timetable
data from the core SIMS system; SIMS therefore provides a complete solution
for both statutory attendance and lesson monitoring.
Teachers can enter lesson attendance marks in their classroom, and can see the
day’s registration marks and previous lesson attendance, on screen. Key
data thus needs to be entered once only, so saving time. Lesson Monitor includes
sophisticated analysis and reporting routines, so that patterns of individual
lesson absence and internal truancy can be monitored. Pastoral and curriculum
leaders therefore have easily available evidence to support key management and
planning decisions.
Lesson Monitor is a companion to Attendance and not a replacement.
