Behaviour Management and Pupil Achievement - SecondaryBehaviour ManagementBehaviour Management is part of the Sims .net suite of programs and can aid the implementation of your school’s behaviour policy in a consistent efficient way. Achievements, behaviour, detentions and report cards can all be recorded and reported upon and to ensure a pupils record is complete. Trends and patterns can be analysed individually or with a specified criteria using Sims .net reporting. For example, you can run a report to list all the incidents there have been in the dining room involving year 7 and 8 pupils. Detention letters and registers can be generated directly from Sims.net as can Exclusion letters and report cards. This can reduce administration in most schools considerably. For those schools using Lesson Monitor, classroom teachers will be able to record behaviour, achievements and complete report cards from within the class register. Pupils can be motivated by early praise for achievement as Form Tutors and Heads of Year can easily identify achievements for the day as well as negative behaviour which can also be dealt with promptly. Early intervention may then prevent minor incidents from escalating, and ensures sanctions are consistent throughout the school. Patterns and trends linking behaviour with attendance and timetable can easily be identified and dealt with in accordance with the school’s behaviour policy.
