Behaviour Management

Case Study new

Featherstone Wood school took part in the Maximising Pupils Attendance Pilot in 20010/11 and for your convenience the Headteacher Carol Pratt has provided a short video of the schools experience.

Behaviour Management is part of the Sims .net suite of programs and can aid  the implementation of your school’s behaviour policy in a consistent efficient way.   This can reduce administration in most schools considerably.   Achievements, behaviour, detentions and report cards can all be recorded and reported upon and to ensure a pupils record is complete.  Trends and patterns can be analysed individually or with a specified criteria using Sims .net reporting.  For example, you can find out which pupils have received the Star of the Day award or how many incidents there were on the playground involving Year 3 and Year 6 pupils.

Pupils can be motivated by early praise for achievement as class teachers and SLT can easily identify achievements for the day as well as negative behaviour which can also be dealt with promptly.  Early intervention may then prevent minor incidents from escalating, and ensures sanctions are consistent throughout the school.  Patterns and trends linking behaviour with attendance can easily be identified and dealt with in accordance with the school’s behaviour policy.
