Network Managers Seminars

The Network Managers seminars are designed for administrators of school administration and curriculum networks.

They concentrate on the technical aspects of managing a complete network, focusing on RM Connect issues.

The seminars are also designed to keep those with either a technical or a managerial responsibility for IT systems – curriculum and/or administration – abreast of the latest developments and provide a forum for informal discussion.

Seminars are provided as part of the network support contract with School IT Systems Support. If you do not purchase this contract we will be pleased for you to attend – at a charge of £70.00 per school.

Outline

These new seminars are being delivered by SSE ICT Team (SITSS and Curriculum Advisers). They are designed for ICT subject leaders from both primary and secondary schools and those responsible for managing any networked systems in schools. Emphasis will be placed on the effective delivery of ICT across the whole school and on the technical aspects of managing a complete network. Seminars are provided as part of the network support contract with School IT Systems Support at a cost of £20.00 per school. If you do not purchase this contract we will be pleased for you to attend - at a charge of 70.00 per school. Maximum of 2 people per school.

Outcomes

This seminar, through presentation and informal discussion, will cover:

• best network practise to keep your system efficient and reliable
• support for common tasks
• the Learning Platform and the network
• SIMS updates
• new developments in technologies and resources
• troubleshooting and common issues planning for the future
