Accreditation with the Institute of IT Training as a ‘Technical Support Centre’

School IT Systems Support hasThe Logo of the Institute of IT Training successfully renewed its accreditation with the Institute of IT Trainers as a ‘Technical Support Centre’. The process involves the review of all services supplied by School IT Systems support, submission of marketing and contractural documents, review of SITSS policies and procedures, whole day consultation with an institute consultant. Following the consultation an ‘Approval Visit Report’ and Action Plan is presented by the Institute to support its findings. SITSS is committed to working in accordance with the IITT Code of Practice.

Comments from the report : -

"It is testament to the quality of service provision of this department that:

  1. The Midlands Regional User Group (RUG) for SIMS receives the lowest number of calls per school supported (2.0 against a maximum of 3.5).
  2. More impressively, within the Midlands RUG, Herts CC SITSS logs 0.8 calls per school supported against a maximum 5.8.

As a result of these impressive statistics it is fair to deduce that Hertfordshire County Councils SITSS is one of the best school’s IT support providers in the country, an achievement for which it is highly commended by the IITT Accreditation Consultant."

“It is testament to the focus on employees that the department has lost only 1 employee in the last 2 years.”

"Herts CC SITSS presents itself as a quality minded organisation with a clearly defined ethos and vision of the future. There is a strong sense of flexibility mixed with evidence of a clear understanding of what elements are necessary to deliver an effective IT Support Service."

We have suggested areas for improvement in the report and will be reviewing and implementing them in order to provide an extension to the high level of support provided to Hertfordshire Schools.
