School's Remote Timesheet Entry
Remote Time-Sheet Entry (RTE) System Update - January 2008
I am aware that some schools have experienced slow performance of this system in recent months. We have now made some changes to the way schools connect through the Hertfordshire Grid for Learning to this service and tests have shown it will make a significant improvement. To take advantage of this improvement it will be necessary to make a small change to the Internet Browser settings on the machine through which you access the RTE.

This page contains instructions on how to use the SAP Schools RTE (Remote Timesheet Entry).
The Remote Timesheet Entry is an electronic alternative to completing paper timesheets (TE001).
Following a successful pilot of RTE in 62 Schools, this capability is now being released to more schools with the intention of moving all schools onto RTE for time sheet data entry.
The Remote Time Sheet Entry system allows schools to complete, authorise and submit their monthly time sheet via a secure website. The information is transferred directly to the payroll system without manual intervention. The benefits for schools are that the deadline for submission of the timesheet is later in the month and the likelihood of errors is reduced. RTE also puts schools in closer control of the information used to pay their employees.
To view the instructional module, click on the file below named 'Schools_RTE.exe'. When given the option, choose to 'run' the file.
This module demonstrates the entire process to follow and can be referred back to at any time.
The file named 'RTE Manual' can be printed out and used as a guide for the most commonly performed tasks.
