Management of Offsite Visits (EVC) Training

As of September 2009, all courses have been more closely aligned with the national training developed by the Outdoor Education Advisers’ Panel for EVCs (Educational/Enhancement/Enrichment Visits Coordinators). The widespread and increasing adoption of the ‘Evolve’ system, for the planning and notification of all levels of visit, means a greater focus can now be placed on the principles behind the administrative processes involved with the organisation of offsite visits and Learning Outside the Classroom.

All formal training courses offered by the Offsite Visits Advisory Service have to be traded, in keeping with other HCC provision.

Published courses below are usually provided at Robertson House, Stevenage and charged at £139/head/day, including refreshments with a maximum of 18 places per course. Please note that, in line with current policy, lunch is no longer provided although food is available from the canteen.

‘Offsite Visits Management  Update’ or ‘Leader Awareness’ training may also be delivered locally, usually as a twilight session, by arrangement at a cost of £56/head/half-day, (minimum charge £335)
