Ofsted expects well trained staff with up-to-date knowledge of eSafety, along with records of eSafety training.  In addition to knowing that your school is doing the right thing, sound knowledge of eSafety is crucial in a society dependent upon technology. eSafety Consultancy, Training & CPD Courses

eSafety is an ever growing and changing area of interest and concern.  The internet and related technologies, including mobile devices such as phones, gaming media, tablets, watches and vehicle systems, are developing rapidly and are integral to the daily lives of our children and young people.  Many of these technologies are used in the classroom to enable pupils and students to engage creatively with their learning.  Socially our children and young people often use the internet for entertainment, interaction and communication with ‘friends’ – bringing about new risks which many adults were not faced with.

It has never been more important for parents and carers to understand how their children and young people use the internet and associated technologies, so that they can help to manage the risks that exist and reinforce the important eSafety messages that we should all be promoting.  Additionally, parents should be warned against using social media as a forum for discussing concerns that they may have with the school.

Staff too, must be aware of the issues surrounding their use of personal devices within the school environment and need occasional reminders of their vulnerability when posting messages and media online.

Richard is able to deliver bespoke staff, parent and governor training in your school or setting. Practical workshops and assemblies for children can be delivered to help young people identify the risks and build their own safety awareness.

The 'School Based Support' and 'Workshop' tabs at the top of this page contain sample packages, all of which can be tailored to suit your needs.  Please do not hesitate to get in touch to discuss your personal requirements or to book a listed session.
